Social Activities
There is a park nearby and the
sea front is less than a mile away
- both ideal for a short outing on
a summer afternoon. For those
who prefer to stay at home, we
have a quiet secluded garden.
Some of our residents like to
attend local clubs and day
centres which keeps them in
touch with a wider circle of
friends.
There is a comfortable lounge
where residents can watch
television, play board games,
cards and bingo, and generally
spend time talking to each other
and the carers in a relaxed,
'family home' setting.
During the summer months, we
organise day-trips in a special
minibus adapted for wheelchairs.
We encourage our residents to
help plan these outings and invite
their friends and relatives to join
us whenever they are able.
We have a variety of visiting
entertainers - mainly musical -
and a number of different ‘shops’
which bring toiletries, clothes and
underwear for residents to
choose at their leisure.
